Shaven-haired singer and actress Brianna Hildebrand is set to be catapulted into the spotlight next year with the release of her first major feature film in February.

The newcomer has been cast in 20th Century Fox's comic book adaptation of Deadpool alongside Ryan Reynolds and Taylor Schilling, playing the bizarrely named Negasonic Teenage Warhead, a telepath with precognitive abilities. Set in the X-Men world, the film centres around a mercenary with terminal cancer (played by Reynolds) who undergoes military experiments in an attempt to replicate Wolverine's mutant healing power. Texas born Hildebrand previously starred in web series Annie Undocumented, and also independently produced her first album, tracks from which she performed at the Clive Davis Theatre at the Grammy Museum in 2014.
